animal planet

I like this idea of animals invading, or at least just inquiring on, human space, cuz it's probably so weird to them. Rats are one of the few animals in the city, and they freak folks out, but I am always happy to see them as they found a way to live in our wacky concrete jungle construct. Animals are becoming this sacred novelty, like some throw-back to simpler times, except that we are totally fucking up their habitat. Their lack of easily interpretable language ups the mystery. I don't live in the realm of the beasts, probably haven't ever or will, but I want them to still be able to.

I like this idea too. At SRC all the TVs were satellite TVs which meant half the time god help you if you wanted to see some show on like NBC but you could stay up until 3 am watching weird Korean variety shows. One such show was all about awkward human interactions with animals, including one segment where the show's hosts released a different wild animal every week into the home of a minor celebrity. Hilarity, as you might imagine, ensued. Also I totally want to see your drawing zine.
