The Invention of Morel!

I just read the book The Invention of Morel and it was so deeply reminiscent of those wan days of my youth spent playing MYST. I initially checked out a copy on account of Brian's suggestion to see Last Year at Marienbad. I was reading an article a while back that cited Morel as the inspiration for both Marienbad and LOST. Now I've never seen Lost but I guess they bring up this book in season four or something. ANYWAY, the book is wonderful. 1940's speculative fiction - a wonderful examination of consciousness - most studies of consciousness I read are way too hippie-d out or too rife w/ scientific jargon. Quick read, highly recommended.

Oh yeah, I read this a month or so ago. Casares was a good friend of Borges and they collaborated on short humor pieces together, under a pseudonym.
