I found out yesterday that my mentor at Evergreen, Ernestine, passed away over the weekend. She was really the most marvelous ever. I am writing and more will come. 
And perhaps even more shocking my friend Su in LA died last December and I only just learned of it. I feel so far away out in new york. I have so many sweet memories of her - I only just learned of this a few hours ago. this is too sad.
